The forges of Venus Sentara burn constantly spewing black acrid smoke from refining various ores and minerals. Where once there were only a handful to help establish and grow the Venus colony, now most of the Venus surface is covered in an industrial complex of pipes, furnaces, excavators and smelting plants. One of humanity’s first attempts at interstellar colonization and terraforming.

The project started in the year 2052. The project took centuries to complete it was the first great combined effort of the public and private sector to make Venus sentura a second home. Venus Sentara was the key to unlocking the mysteries of Frame Shift Drives (FSD) through research

conducted in the fields of anti-gravity as the first floating cities were introduced to survive the initial terraforming efforts. Later these very same cities were expanded and repurposed to host the wealthy any elite from all walks of life, from traders to politicians. In addition to access to an abundance of raw materials and the ability to conduct more experimental research than would have been otherwise sanctioned on Earth. This drew in more and more extreme engineers and chemists slowly turning the surface cities of the colony into a lawless hub of depravity and experimentation.

A treaty was signed between Earth and Venus Sentara where it could function under its own autonomy as long as it kept providing raw and manufactured materials to Earth and to operate the forges Earth with provide food, water, and form a penal colony for free labor. As the strife on Earth continued to grow, Venus Sentara allowed itself more and more liberties that were unsanctioned and eventually leveraged Earth which had become solely dependent on the forges of Venus Sentara for all its manufacturing and raw materials needs, to become the independent Venus Forges governed by the few first families that referred to themselves as The Veregion  rallied under the banner of their chairman later becoming emperor Suvious of the Veregion empire, that funded the establishment of the first Venus colony.

After the establishment of the Veregion empire and the declaration of its separation from Earth Venus Sentara exploded in growth and the Venus surface cities became a dystopian, landscape of smog, metal, and fire. (The air within the domed sections of the surface colonial hubs was so toxic that everyone wore rebreathers, and their clothes were disintegrating with the harsh vapours being accumulated from the forges.

The research that allowed for FSD’s was started to be applied to mining research and enhancements. These new thermal laser mining tools were outfitted on Tactical Mobile Armors piloted by engineers to easily access ores and minerals underneath existing structures by focusing intense lasers allowing the deposits to be extracted with surgical precision.

These advancements also lent to military use and with minor adjustments were weaponized. These weapons would inevitably be the Earths demise in the year 2250, where the global conflict employed these weapons bought and smuggled in secret to extreme consequences when used on earth. With the downfall of Earth, Venus Sentara was left to fend for itself with its ever-increasing need for disposable labor to keep the forges alight and maintain a relationship with the surviving Karuba Republic for its food and water needs, while offering protection and materials for their hub stations. But the insanity growing amongst the denizens from lifelong toxic exposure is creating more and more generations of unhinged people with only having interest in chaos and destruction for the forges.
